Why it matters
When a client's name is "P Town Bar" on the site but "P-Town Bar" on Google, assistants aren't sure they're the same business. Mismatches make the client harder to recommend — and easier to skip.
How the check works
- We read the website first
The business name, address, and phone are pulled automatically from the site's structured data — you don't type them.
- Compare against the listings
Check that the client's Google, Yelp, and Facebook listings say exactly the same thing. If anything differs, update the Google Business Profile to match.
Fixing mismatches
Pick one canonical spelling — the one on the client's website is usually right — and update every listing to match it exactly. Same abbreviations, same punctuation, same phone format. Then re-scan to confirm.
Check suite numbers and "Blvd" vs "Boulevard" first — those tiny differences cause most mismatches.
