Before you start
Open the SERAVERRA report's Local & competitors tab. The Keep your business info consistent card shows exactly what the client's website says for the business name, address, and phone — note it. That's the spelling you're going to copy onto Facebook — pick one version and use it everywhere.
Copy the text straight from the client's website rather than retyping it. Most mismatches are tiny: "St" vs "Street", a missing suite number, or a different phone format.
Update the page
- Open the Page
Go to facebook.com and switch to the client's business Page (click your profile picture, then the Page's name). You need admin or editor access to change business info — ask the client to give you access if you don't have it.
- Open Page settings
Click the Page's profile picture, then Settings. In the left menu, choose Page info (on the newer Pages experience this lives under Settings → Page setup → Page info).
- Edit the address
In the About / location section, match the street address, suite or unit number, city, state, and ZIP to the website character for character. Make sure the map pin sits on the right building.
- Edit the phone number
Use the same phone number — in the same format — as the website. If the site shows (412) 555-0134, don't enter 412-555-0134 on Facebook.
- Check the hours
While you're there, confirm the hours are current, including holiday hours. Outdated hours are one of the most common Facebook mismatches.
- Save
Click Save changes. Facebook page-info edits usually go live right away.
After the changes go live
Run a new SERAVERRA scan (the Rescan icon on the report). The business info check reads the website fresh each time — once Facebook matches, the mismatch flag clears.
Repeat the same copy-paste on the client's Google Business Profile and Yelp listing. AI assistants check all of them, and one holdout keeps the mismatch alive.
